Sports Performance Director

Job Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Sports Performance Director include ensuring service quality by managing and training performance coaches. Duties also include involvement in outside sales, team training, and daily business operations.
Most Important Monthly Contribution: Develop world-class Performance Coaching staff that increases referrals and word-of-mouth leads.

Objectives:
1. Manage and Train Performance Coaches:
- Manage the hiring and training process for new Performance Coaches
- Train coaches on training protocols during planned sessions
- Conduct weekly meetings with staff for education, safety, and policies
- Enforce Corporate Policies
- Monitor coaching efforts and certification program to ensure training consistency
- Conduct monthly Goal Setting and Review sessions with each Performance Coach
- Conduct one skills coaching session per coach per month
2. Assist with outside sales building activities:
- Build relationships with local schools, clubs, secondary schools, organizations, businesses; and professional teams, coaches, elite athletes and agents
- Deliver seminars and speeches to promote Velocity Sports Performance reputation in the community
3. Schedule and run team trainings and trial sessions
4. Coach athletes using VSP protocol:
- Coaches all levels with emphasis on higher levels
- Assists with training of elite level / pro athletes
- Continually update knowledge of VSP models
- Properly assess each athlete against VSP model
- Utilize effective cues and techniques to improve athlete performance
5. Manage internships:
- Oversee three internship classes a year with an average of six participants
- Hire two interns from each class as coaches
