Biography

Coco is a 16 year old stand out tennis player from Rancho Santa Fe, who is training to maintain an active role on the U.S. team.  She travels frequently for tournaments and trains five days a week with a teaching pro.  Although she only started playing tennis at age 11, when most stars begin at an earlier age, her serve is one of the fastest on the tour clocking in at 110 mph. To help increase her quickness on the court, Coco started training at Velocity Carlsbad in February of 2008 and now says, "I think I'm in better shape than I've ever been, ever."

Coco comes from a long line of successful athletes, including her mother who was an Olympian in both swimming and volleyball, her Uncle Kiki Vandeweghe who played with the NY Knicks, and her grandfather Ernie Vandeweghe, the General Manager of the Denver Nuggets. Coco, who stands at 6'1", is now being home schooled so she can focus on having an active role on the U.S. team.
