Throwers Program

10th Inning Baseball Throwers Program
                                               
Velocity Sports Performance, Minnesota Baseball Academy, and the Institute for Athletic Medicine (IAM) have teamed up to offer a five-week, ten-session performance program to help athletes enhance their throwing skills to take their game to the next level.  This program is geared towards players looking to improve arm strength, technique and prevent injury as well as players who have completed physical therapy rehabilitation through the Thrower’s Injury Program from IAM.
 
10th Inning Highlights - at Velocity Sports Performance – Champlin 
Ten 90-minute sessions over five weeks:
  • 45 minutes of instruction by a Velocity Sports Performance Coach with focus on baseball specific movements to enhance core strength, stabilization strength in the shoulder and hip complex, and whole body power to increase throwing velocity.
  • 45 minutes of throwing instruction taught by Minnesota Baseball Academy coaches that include:
    1. Bullpen sessions and mechanical work
    2. Long toss sessions
    3. Onsite evaluation
    4. Customized Dartfish video analysis
Dates:  November 2 – December 11, 2009
Times:  Wednesday’s at 7:30pm and Friday’s at 6:30pm
Who:     Boys and Girls ages 12-18
Cost:    $350 payable to Velocity Sports Performance due October 26th, 2009

And for injured athletes…If you're having pain or are injured please call the Thrower’s Injury Program hotline at 612- 672-7929, a service of the Institute for Athletic Medicine (IAM).  Patients will receive a complete injury evaluation, video analysis, and long toss and home exercise programs to get you ready to participate in the 10th inning program.
