Bradlee Van Pelt

Biography
Currently with the Houston Texans. Van Pelt stepped right in as the backup quarterback upon signing with the team. Bradlee received his first regular season NFL action in 2005 as the #2 quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Van Pelt scored a touchdown on a quarterback draw versus Kansas City on his first NFL play. Bradlee won the backup job in the 2005 pre-season with his stellar play. He completed 36 of his 67 passes for 385 yards and 4 touchdowns during the pre-season. He also ran for 110 yards on 15 carries showing his ability to make plays with his legs.
Van Pelt was selected in the 7th Round (250th pick) of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Broncos. He spent the entire 2004 season on the practice squad, and then signed a 3-year contract with the Broncos in January. He has a unique blend of size, speed, and arm strength. The 2004 NFL season marked the first time that Van Pelt worked in a pass heavy offense and the Broncos have clearly shown excitement about his future potential with the team. Van Pelt was a two-time All-Mountain West Conference first-team selection while at Colorado State.
