Velocity Sports Performance of Westchester (Elmsford, NY) has hired Ned Simerlein as its new Sports Performance Director. Simerlein, an experienced sports performance coach, has worked with numerous professional and elite athletes during his career, including many NFL, NBA, and MLB players. He began his professional career at the International Performance Institute (IPI) in Bradenton, Florida, before moving on to head up the baseball and basketball athletic performance divisions at IMG Academies.

We believe that Ned is one of the finest sports performance coaches in the Northeast, said Brian Fee, owner of the Velocity training facility in Elmsford. We feel that he can take us to the next level as an elite training facility, and continue to help grow our center of excellence. Simerlein will be responsible for all aspects of coaching staff development and training.

Simerlein, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and USA Weightlifting certified coach, previously worked in a Velocity facility in Connecticut from 2005-2009 before opening his own integrated athletic performance institute. While at Velocity, he led multiple classes of NFL rookies who trained and prepared for the NFL Combine and Draft.
