Biography

Extremely accurate quarterback with the athletic ability to make plays on the run… Experienced signal caller in the West Coast Offense… Three-time Pro Bowl selection from 2000-2002 as a member of the San Francisco 49ers… Demonstrates poise and tremendous leadership ability in the huddle… Rallied his team to victory on 11 occasions when his team was tied or trailed at the end of the third quarter… Passed for 300 or more yards in 16 career regular season games, including two 400 or more yard performances… Entering his first season with the Buccaneers after joining the team as a free agent on March 3, 2007… Entered the league as a free agent with the 49ers in 1999… Played first five seasons (1999-03) with the 49ers… Spent one season with the Cleveland Browns (2004), Detroit Lions (2005) and Philadelphia Eagles (2006)… Played five seasons in the CFL, highlighted by a 1998 Grey Cup Championship with the Calgary Stampeders… Helped lead the 49ers to a pair of playoff berths (2001 and 2002), while also helping catalyst the Eagles to a playoff appearance in place of an injured QB Donovan McNabb down the stretch in 2006… Played in 99 career regular season games with 92 starts… Completed 1,811-of-2,973 pass attempts for 20,385 passing yards, 136 touchdowns and 73 interceptions for a passer rating of 86.4… Also rushed 395 times for 1,878 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns… In five postseason starts, completed 103-of-178 pass attempts for 1,150 passing yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions for a passer rating of 76.8… Ranked fourth all-time, and third among active players, with a 2.46 interception percentage (min. 1,500 attempts)… Ranked sixth all-time with a 1.86 touchdown/interception ratio (min. 1,500 attempts).
