Yoga is far from a passing fitness fad and people who practice it are usually zealots who swear by its effectiveness in achieving peace of body and mind. The trouble is that like any fitness regimen, it’s not necessarily for everyone. Some of the most potent benefits of yoga might not benefit athletes as they would the average adult. At the risk of upsetting dozens of warrior-posing yogis, let me outline both sides of the story as it relates to the athlete.
